Get out the Wok and be ready to eat in less than 30 minutes. Don’t have a wok, you can use a deep dished skillet.

Ingredients (2-4 servings)

1 large boneless, skinless chicken breast (or 2 small ones) cut into cubes

1 head of Broccoli, cleaned and flower heads cut from stalk

1 elephant clove of garlic (or 4 regular size garlic)

1/2 teaspoon of chopped ginger

1 bunch of green onions, chopped whites and greens

Seasame Oil

For the sauce

2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

1 teaspoon plum sauce

3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce

6 tablespoons honey

6 tablespoon hot water

1 teaspoon red chili paste (if you like it hotter, add more red chili paste)

Preparation

  • Heat the wok on high and add the tablespoon of Sesame Oil

  • Add the chicken and brown on all sides, then remove to platter.

  • Place garlic in wok along with onion and ginger for 30 seconds.

  • Add soy sauce, hoisin sauce and hot water to bring to a boil.

  • Add the broccoli and cook a couple minutes. It will turn a darker green.

  • Add the chicken.

  • Stir and toss constantly until cooked through and liquid has thickened.

Serve on top of steamed rice. I like Basmati but Jasmine is also a good choice.

Enjoy!
